Storage locations

Give each lot a location and find parts while picking orders.

A location is a label you assign to a lot, such as A-01 or Drawer 12. It tells you where to look when picking an order.

Assign a location

  1. Label your physical bins or drawers with a consistent naming scheme.
  2. When adding parts through Intakes or editing an inventory lot, enter the matching location.
  3. Save the lot, or complete the intake import. Check that the saved inventory shows the expected location.

Use locations when picking

Open an order and use each item’s location alongside its image, color and quantity. Retrieve the parts, then record the picked quantity.

Keep locations useful

Update the recorded location when you move stock. The app records the label you provide; it does not track physical movements. In Intakes, matching item, color, condition and location can merge into an existing lot; a different location creates a separate lot.
